Lindsey Wells, MD

Lindsey Wells, MD grew up on farmland a few miles outside of Meigs, Georgia--a small town located about an hour northeast of Tallahassee. Because of her upbringing and own personal health challenges experienced in this setting, Lindsey developed a desire to serve rural and underserved communities while in high school. She participated in an international mission trip to Uganda the summer after graduation which furthered her interest in medical missions. Lindsey attended Georgia Southern University for her undergraduate education and completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. At Georgia Southern, she realized her passions for teaching and mentorship and had the opportunity to work with younger students while serving as a Peer Leader, Supplemental Instructor, Student-Athlete Tutor, and Community Leader. She then attended Emory University School of Medicine to complete her medical education and quickly developed a love for Family Medicine when completing her rotation at a rural clinic in Blue Ridge, Georgia, during her third year of medical school. During this time, she continued pursuing her interests in helping guide the next generation of physicians by participating in Emory's Pipeline Program and Adult Primary Care Peer Mentorship Program as well as by becoming involved in the GAFP and STFM. Lindsey is very excited about joining the team at TMH and looks forward to helping reach the medically underserved in North Florida/South Georgia and across the globe.

Outside of medicine, Lindsey enjoys spending time with her family, participating in faith-based events at her hometown church, taking trips with her close friends (especially cruises), exploring new restaurants with her boyfriend, and fishing and scalloping in the Gulf of Mexico.
