About Me
Peyton Lloyd, MD, MPH grew up in Anniston, AL as the oldest of two children and was the first in her immediate family to pursue a career in medicine. She met her husband, Tanner, in middle school, where they led youth group worship services together. She was exposed to the field of medicine from an early age when her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was then that she developed a passion for women’s and adolescent health and a desire to pursue medicine as a career.
Dr. Lloyd attended Auburn University where she earned a dual degree in biomedical sciences and Spanish. While at Auburn she realized her passion for foreign languages after studying abroad in Spain. She presented research on second language acquisition and hopes to continue learning and perfecting her Spanish. After graduating from Auburn, she stayed in Alabama and is proud to have graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Medicine, where she volunteered as a Spanish translator and served as a publicity coordinator for the student-run free clinic that serves the uninsured population of Jefferson County. Dr. Lloyd found she enjoyed learning about the broader scope of medicine and decided to pursue a master’s degree in public health while at UAB. These experiences have led to a keen interest in women’s health and preventative medicine.
In her spare time, Dr. Lloyd likes to read, bake, travel and sing, but most of all she enjoys spending time with her husband and Bernese Mountain dog, Maxine. She is excited to continue serving Tallahassee and the surrounding communities and looks forward to her career at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare.
