Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) continues to manage an IT security event that occurred late Thursday and continues to impact our operations. Our teams and leaders are working around the clock to minimize the impact. We thank our patients, their families and our community for their support during this time.
Patient safety is always and continues to be our top priority. We are operating under IT system downtime procedures to continue to provide the highest quality care to our patients.
We continue to divert some EMS patients. We are only accepting Level 1 traumas from Leon County and the immediate surrounding counties and patients experiencing stroke and myocardial infarction (heart attack).
All non-emergency surgical and outpatient procedures have been canceled and rescheduled through Monday. We will continue to provide updates about plans for after Monday.
This is an active, ongoing investigation. We contacted law enforcement when this incident occurred, and we continue to work with the appropriate law enforcement agencies. We are also working with third party experts to assist in the investigation.
