About Me
Carissa Winters, MD attended the University of Kansas, earning a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with a focus in Biomedical Engineering, and a Doctor of Medicine.
Throughout medical school, Dr. Winters particularly enjoyed her rural primary care rotations and learning about the care of the geriatric population. With this in mind, she chose to pursue a career in family medicine where she could combine these interests.
Dr. Winters is also an avid painter and shark tooth collector during her spare time. She is even a proud owner of a megalodon tooth she found while visiting Venice, Florida.
