About Me
Christopher Pope, MD is originally an Atlanta area native but has called Tallahassee his home for the last 15 years. He received a Bachelor’s in Exercise Physiology and Kinesiology from FSU, a Master’s in Medical Sciences from USF, and returned for his Medical Degree from FSU. Prior to medicine, he was a science teacher at both Community Christian School and Wakulla High School, coaching a variety of sports including soccer, football, cross country, track and field, and flag football. He has remained active in the community throughout medical school through the Doctors Back to School program by speaking with elementary, middle, and high school students about science and medicine. Further, he was a member of the Family Medicine Scholars program and selected to the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
Chris is excited to be at the TMH Family Medicine Residency where he hopes to practice full-spectrum family medicine and continue the many relationships built over the last decade and a half, while forging new ones with his patients. When not at work, Chris stays active by running and cycling, as well as the occasional pick-up soccer game. He loves a wide variety of sports, especially FSU. He also enjoys cooking, reading, playing music, serving at Four Oaks Midtown, and spending time with his wife Alli as well as his four children: Micah, Evie, Gabe, and Rosie.
