About Me
Meet Dr. Farrell
Dr. James Farrell, a board-certified Urologist, is thrilled to join Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare. He previously practiced in Atlanta for the past few years and served honorably in the U.S. Army as a Urologic Surgeon for 11 years. Dr. Farrell believes it is essential to educate his patients about their medical conditions so they are able to make confident decisions to achieve their desired results.
Dr. Farrell is experienced in practicing a wide breadth of Urology to include care for Urologic cancers, kidney stones, enlarged prostate, male health (ED, low testosterone, infertility), vasectomies and vasectomy reversal, overactive bladder, difficulty urinating and male and female incontinence. He is skilled in multiple advanced surgical techniques including robotic surgery, endoscopy, the Urolift system, sacral neural modulation, and microsurgery for varicoceles, vasectomy reversal, and neuropathic testicular pain.
Dr. Farrell graduated in the top 10% of his medical school class at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed internship and residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. There he received state-of-the-art training in the diagnosis and management of Urologic diseases and published multiple peer-reviewed research articles on prostate cancer genetics. After residency, he served as Chief of Urology and Chair of the Robotics Steering Committee at Carl R Darnall Army Medical Center.
