About Me
John “Field” Palmer was born at TMH and lived in Tallahassee until he was 12. He moved to South Florida, and later attended the University of Florida where he studied journalism. Field worked as a writer in Baltimore, MD, before moving to Madrid, Spain, where he worked as an English teacher. Though he loved Spain, his drive to study medicine pulled him back to the United States.
Field completed his undergraduate science courses at the University of Pennsylvania and matriculated to American University of Antigua. After two years on the island, Field did his clinical rotations through Florida International University in Miami.
Field could not be happier being back in Tallahassee with his family and partner. After completing the residency, Field hopes to continue to work in Tallahassee for many years to come.
In his free time, Field loves mountain and gravel cycling. In addition to other outdoor activities, Field loves to cook and read.
