About Me
Lattisha Kerr, MD was born and raised in the beautiful Caribbean island of Jamaica. The passing of her dearly beloved grandfather inspired her dreams of becoming a doctor at a very tender age. The experience of grief after his passing made her realize she wanted to be a caretaker of the sick.
Dr Kerr completed her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at the University of the West Indies, Mona campus, after which she spent 5 years serving in one of Jamaica's largest hospitals. Her community health experience in rural Jamaica was transformative, teaching her the importance of building strong patient relationships and effective communication. With focus on preventative health, Dr Kerr is passionate about women's health and empowerment of patients through education. She aims to make a meaningful impact in diverse communities, providing compassionate patient-centered care.
She is excited to join the team at Tallahassee Memorial Family Medicine Residency Program, and even more excited about learning about the history of Tallahassee.
Outside of medicine Dr Kerr enjoys spending quality time with her daughter and having outings with her friends.
