About Me
Dr. Ronald Machado is originally from New York, growing up on Long Island until the middle of high school. He obtained his Biochemistry degree from Florida State University in 1992 and then entered the FSU Program in Medical Sciences (PIMS) ultimately receiving his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine. He completed his Family Medicine residency training at Shands at the University of Florida. He joined the faculty of the Tallahassee Memorial Family Medicine Residency Program in July of 2000 and served in that full-time capacity for over a decade. The implementation of an enterprise outpatient electronic record system and overall Health IT involvement at Tallahassee Memorial became his unexpected passion and takes up much of his time in recent years. He interacts with all residents as they learn to use the IT systems to care for patients and enjoys teaching office spirometry to residents.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Machado enjoys his local church involvement, fingerstyle guitar, FSU football, ski vacations, and time with his wife, Laura, and three children: Slade, Sara, and Stephen.
