Shelby L Blank, MD

Shelby Blank, MD joined the medical staff at TMH immediately following completion of residency in 2006. Initially practicing broad-based general surgery and trauma, her focus gradually shifted toward breast care. In 2023, she made the decision to dedicate her practice exclusively to breast health. Dr. Blank has served as the Medical Director of the TMH Breast Center since 2010, during which time the center has earned continuous NAPBC accreditation and expanded its services, including the development of a multidisciplinary breast clinic and tumor board.

A leader in the field, Dr. Blank has introduced cutting-edge technologies at TMH, such as innovative sentinel node mapping, tumor localization and imaging techniques. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Blank has been a committed educator, serving as clinical faculty for the FSU College of Medicine and FSU College of Medicine General Surgery Residency Program at TMH.

Dr. Blank is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and an active member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons. As a native of Tallahassee, she has lifelong ties to this area and is passionate about providing the highest level of care to breast cancer patients locally and throughout the region.
