Our surgery team uses the latest technology, including da Vinci Robotic Surgical Systems for minimally invasive procedures, Mako Robotic-Arm Technology for partial and total knee replacement procedures and ROSA Robotic-Assisted Surgery technology for joint replacements, and the MONARCH™ Robotic Bronchoscopy Platform.
TMH is the first hospital in the region to receive accreditation as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery by the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC), providing the highest quality of care to its patients undergoing robotic surgery. Robotic technology is available for array of minimally invasive procedures in areas of cardiothoracic, general surgery, gynecology, oncology, orthopedic and urology.
TMH also utilizes Acessa for Laparoscopic Radiofrequency Ablation (Lap RFA), a minimally invasive method to treat fibroids performed on an outpatient basis.

By combining the latest medical technology with patient- and family-centered design and amenities, the M.T. Mustian Center has transformed the standard of care for the Big Bend community. Our M.T. Mustian Center is equipped with 28 operating rooms and four hybrid interventional suites including two neurovascular interventional radiology rooms and two vascular interventional radiology rooms.
